Auto Body Clinic is a vehicle bodywork repair and refinishing workshop run by Mutasim (Tas) Karim, a sole trader trading as Auto Body Clinic, at Unit 3, 150 Normacot Road, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent ST3 1PR. You can message or call us on 07746 125059.
These terms apply whenever we quote for, or carry out, work on your vehicle. They don’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.
The prices on our website are guide prices. We give you a price after seeing photos of the damage, and we agree the final price with you before any work starts: we talk it through on WhatsApp, then email you the final price.
We’re not VAT registered, so there’s no VAT to add on top.
If we find hidden damage once work has started, for example behind a bumper, we’ll stop and show you. We won’t do any extra work or charge you more unless you agree first.
All visits are by appointment. If you need to change or cancel a booking, please let us know as soon as you can.
If you agree the job with us by phone, WhatsApp, email or through our website, you have 14 days to cancel. If you ask us to start the work within those 14 days and then cancel, you’ll only pay for work already done. Once the work is finished, the right to cancel no longer applies.
We take reasonable care of your vehicle while it’s in our workshop. To help us:
We mix paint to your vehicle’s colour code and blend it into the panels around the repair so there’s no visible line.
Paint that has faded with age, and some special finishes such as three-stage pearls, can look very slightly different in some lights. If we don’t think a near-perfect match is possible, we’ll tell you before we start.
Payment is due when you collect your vehicle, by cash or bank transfer. There’s nothing to pay up front unless we’ve agreed otherwise with you.
We can keep your vehicle until the agreed price has been paid in full.
We’ll message you as soon as your vehicle is ready. Please collect it as soon as you can.
If a vehicle isn’t collected within 14 days of us telling you it’s ready, we may charge a reasonable daily storage fee. We’ll tell you the amount in writing before any fee starts. If it’s still not collected after that, we may take the steps the law allows for uncollected goods.
Every panel we paint comes with a lifetime warranty, for as long as you own the vehicle. It covers anything that goes wrong because of our work, such as flaking paint or a colour that isn’t right. It doesn’t cover rust, or the panel being damaged again, and it becomes void if another bodyshop or repairer works on or paints the panel after us. We check this with a paint film thickness gauge. You’ll find exactly what it covers, and how to claim, on our warranty page. The warranty is in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them.
By law, we must carry out our work with reasonable care and skill. If you’re unhappy with any part of a repair, tell us as soon as possible and we’ll put it right. If we can’t, you may be entitled to some or all of your money back.
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We’re not responsible for faults that were already there and weren’t part of the agreed repair, or for losses that weren’t foreseeable.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
Trade rates for dealers and motor traders are agreed separately. If you’re using our services for your business, the 14-day cancellation right doesn’t apply, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the price of the work.
We take photos before, during and after a repair for our records and for any warranty claim. We may share photos of our work on our website and social media, always with number plates blurred. If you’d rather we didn’t, just tell us.
We only use your details to quote for, carry out and support your repair. Our privacy policy explains how we look after your information.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
