ABOUT DENT REPAIR

How we repair small to medium dents

Dents come from car-park doors, trolleys, stray footballs and low-speed knocks. Some are shallow and smooth; others crease the metal or sit on a swage line, the sharp styling line that runs along the side of most vehicles.

For deeper dents and dents on swage lines, we pull the panel back out first with a stud (pin) puller. We then fill, shape, prime and paint the area so it follows the car’s original lines, and blend the colour into the panel.

We don’t do paintless dent repair or cold repairs, and we don’t take on big accident damage. Keeping to small and medium dents is how we keep turnaround quick.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU LEAVE IT

How a small dent turns into a bigger job

Not every dent causes problems straight away, but many do over time.

1The dentA knock pushes the metal in. If the paint is intact, it’s purely cosmetic for now.
2Paint cracksMetal flexes and paint doesn’t. Over time the paint around a dent can crack or chip.
3Water gets inOnce the paint is broken, moisture reaches the bare steel underneath.
4Rust startsRust spreads under the paint and bubbles up, and a small dent becomes a much bigger repair.
WHY FIX IT NOW

Stops rust before it startsRepairing the dent and sealing the paint protects the metal underneath.
